Born and raised in Ecuador, it has been a lifelong dream of mine to become a Pastry Chef and open a bakery one day. After completing my culinary education, I was fortunate enough to be chosen as the head decorator at a luxurious hotel on Long Island, where I dedicated over a decade of my life to perfecting my craft. This period was instrumental in allowing me to learn the intricacies of the hotel and hospitality industry, which is far more complex than I could have ever anticipated. It was a journey filled with challenges and triumphs that ultimately led me to where I am today. My experiences during those years not only honed my skills but also deepened my passion for baking and creating delicious pastries. With the love and unwavering support of my amazing family, I was able to take a leap of faith and turn my dreams into reality. In 2021, Catalina's Bake Shop, a vibrant and proud latinas, woman-owned business, became a beacon of hope and creativity in our community. We strive to not only create mouth-watering treats but also to inspire others by sharing our story and empowering future generations of culinary artists who dream of making their mark in this beautiful world of baking.
